The wait for the inaugural 2016 Bass Strait Masters is almost over! On Saturday morning, 80 of the keenest golfers from all over Australia will embark on this brand new golfing tour, which will take them to four of the country’s most remote, rugged and pristine golf courses to crown the official Bass Strait Master.
Tasmania now boasts four incredible courses that are ready to offer our first group of Bass Strait Masters competitors the experience of a lifetime. Open fairways, picturesque ocean views and beautiful Indigenous Australian flora and fauna welcome golfers, on what will be a scenic and thrilling golfing experience. Ocean Dunes is situated on truly spectacular coastal linksland and already Golf Digest ranks Cape Wickham as 3rd in Australia and 24th in the world. The world renown Barnbougle Dunes sits at 5th in Australia and 33rd in the world whilst Lost Farm ranks at 9th in Australia and 40th in the world.
The Bass Strait Masters adventure combines 4 days of golf with world class dining on local produce including Tasmania’s finest cheese, wine and seafood. The event will be MC’d by ex-international Australian cricketer and funny man, Greg Blewett. Blewett is no amateur when it comes to golf, with a handicap of just 2 he proved himself both on and off the greens at the 2014 Vortex Air Open at Barnbougle.
On the Saturday night golfers will be treated to exquisite food, wine and exceptional service by Melbourne’s high class Pure South Dining. There will be daily competitions and prizes to keep everyone on their toes, and plenty of time to simply relax and enjoy the superb views as Vortex Air fly our contestants safely between the stunning destinations.
We at Vortex Air are thrilled to bring this event to life and look forward to welcoming you all to the 2016 Bass Strait Masters!
