The Bass Strait Masters has come and gone in the blink of an eye. Months of preparation and build up went into ensuring the whole tournament ran as smoothly as possible and now after 4 days of action packed golfing it’s all over.

The final day of golf was played on the remarkable Lost Farm in Barnbougle. We were certainly blessed with a cracker day. Pristine weather and impeccable golfing conditions made for a beautiful finish to an amazing long weekend.

We would like to thank the all of the courses and sponsors involved in putting together the first ever Bass Strait Masters: Barnbougle Dunes, Lost Farm, Cape Wickham and Ocean Dunes. After a weekend like this it is abundantly clear where the future of golf is headed in Tasmania and boy are we excited to be a part of it.

Special thanks to Pure South Dining for putting on an amazing selection of King Island’s finest local produce on the Saturday night. Thanks to Stanley Fish and the Craig Mostyn Group for donating the crayfish, thanks to King Island Beef for supplying the beef and to King Island Dairy for supplying the dessert and donating prizes. Thanks to Greg Blewett for MC’ing the entire event, it must have been his duties off course that distracted him bringing his A-game, don’t worry mate – there’s always next year.

Lastly Vortex Air would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the players and people involved for making the tournament a joy to put on. Everyone’s positivity, attitude and sportsmanship made the weekend one to remember.

Congratulations to the day’s winner, Kylie Tallak (Scored 40), the mens winner Roger Boxtel (Scored 41), and the days’ team winner was FAR-Q (Scored 139). A solid way to end the tournament indeed!

Now finally onto the big stuff, the overall winners of the first ever Bass Strait Masters…
